439 Combat Support Squadron

Tracing its ancestry back to the early 1930's, 439 Sqn has gone through a number of name changes and role assignments as Canada evolved from a world burdened by a horrendous depression (the dirty thirties), to a world torn apart by a major global war, on to a five decade long threat of nuclear annihilation that was known as the Cold War. Despite the trials and tribulations experienced by this country and, in turn, by this Squadron, one thing remained consistently evident throughout 439 Squadron's long history - the dedication and professionalism of its men & women, many of whom gallantly gave their lives both in war and peace in the service of our great country.
