Prince Albert was home to both #6 EFTS and #6 AOS schools during the second world war. The M & C Aviation company was largley responsible for the success of both schools, as it was given the contract to service and overhaul a large percentage of the aircraft used. #6 EFTS began in 1940 with Tiger Moths and ran until 1944, when these were replaced by Cornells until the end of the war. #6 AOS operated during the mid-war years, using the Avro Anson. During the course of the war many other interesting aircraft and personnel visited PA and some of these have been captured on film by local photographers; George Greening, Al Malena, and Miro Maximchuc, whose pictures are seen here.
