784 (Diamond Jubilee) Wing is located in Cold Lake, Alberta adjacent to Canada's largest fighter base, 4 Wing Cold Lake. The quickest way to find our office and building when driving into Cold Lake South is to watch for the mounted jet aircraft outside our front door. We hope this website encourages you to join the Air Force Association of Canada or just visit our quarters if you are a serving member of the Canadian Forces, Foreign Air Forces or if you are a retired serviceman. Feel welcome to visit our Wing but you must know that after three visits we would like you to become a member and help us fulfill our community duties.
879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing is the Chilliwack Wing of the Air Force Association of Canada which, along with many members-at-large, is comprised of 74 such Wings across Canada and the USA. 879 Wing proudly takes the name "Earl MacLeod" in honour of Air Commodore Earl MacLeod. Air Commodore MacLeod flew combat missions with great distinction with the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) during World War I before joining with other pioneers in forging military and commercial aviation history in Canada and British Columbia. 879 (Earl MacLeod) Wing was originally formed as a wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association and subsequently became 879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing upon the renaming of the RCAF Association to the Air Force Association of Canada.
Apart from having a wonderful "home" complex with a wonderful view of CAF 19 Wing airfield and the Coast Mountains, we take pride in the fact that we are the largest Wing in Canada with a membership over 600 (includes Regular and Associate Members). We are the host Wing of 101 (North Island) Squadron in Port Hardy as well as sponsors of 386 (Komox) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
