Utility Squadron VU 33
Motto: Finis Coronat Opus (The End Crowns The Deed)
The squadron served as the Royal Canadian Navy's west coast fixed wing utility squadron performing such duties as Training, Naval Gunnery Target Towing, Transport, Search & Rescue. Upon unification of the forces in 1968-69 the squadron was integrated into the Canadian Armed Forces as Utility Squadron VU 33. The squadrons designation of VU 33 was implemented in 1954 following the US Naval system. The squadron was disbanded in 1992 with No. 414 Squadron assuming its duties.
