Canadian Military Aircraft Serial Numbers

This page is my first attempt to share the results of umpteen years of collecting information about Canadian military aircraft with other obsessed and/or crazy people. I've been collecting this information, on and off, for most of my life. For now, I've posted my information on aircraft with uniquely Canadian numbers. I also have quite a bit of information about aircraft operated by the Canadian military while bearing serial numbers of other air forces (RAF, USAF, etc.) , and I'm in the process of adding this to the database and these web pages.

Canadian War Brides

The story of the Canadian war brides and their journey to Canada is one of the most fascinating and romantic of World War Two. Why nearly 45,000 British and European women would leave behind everything that was familiar to start a new life in post-war Canada is a story worth telling.

Fight Sergeant Harry E. Hansell

The pages of this website tell Harry’s Story, contained in letters from him or about him, in photos, maps and other material - they document his wartime experiences. By looking at, and reading these items, you will share some of his experience, and sense what it was to play the ultimate roles in war – the boy becoming a soldier, and the family and friends called to bear his loss.

In Memory of William Russell "Rus" Sloan

"The squadrons thundered off the ground tirelessly. Off they pelted those glorious, radiant boys. We were with them in sound and spirit but that feeling of lead in the stomach when they failed to return was all too familiar. There were so many and all of them so young and such a wicked, wicked waste. I mourned them then, now and forever..."
